In February 2000, Dick Smith and his co pilot John Wallington traversed across the Tasman Sea from New Zealand to Australia in a Roziere Balloon.

This particular challenge was as a result of John ‘Singo’ Singleton betting Dick $100,000 that he couldn’t achieve such a feat!
