We enjoyed our last breakfast inside our little home and got going at 8.45am with the skies overcast the temperature 40° F.

We drove through Loveland and turned off towards Estes Park as the rain began to fall.

We drove along the Big Thompson River gorge and gradually the sun appeared as we drove down into Estes Park.

We stopped at the Information Centre and had a coffee at a local café before driving into the Rocky Mountain National Park, paying an entry fee of $20 at the gates.

We drove through the park up to Bear Lake at 9,400ft with magnificent scenery along the way. We walked around Bear Lake, where a good covering of snow was on the track.

We returned to Estes Park where they were holding sidewalk sales along the main street. It was very cold so we bought ourselves some warm jackets and had some lunch in a pizza café.
As we left the rain started to fall again and soon we were driving in heavy fog. We stopped in a grassy area off the road and emptied our watertanks and gave the toilet and shower a good clean with the last of the water.
Entering Boulder County in the fog
We drove back to Bloomfield and checked into the Renaissance Boulder Suites Hotel where we had stayed in March 2006, at the very beginning of our Earthroamer adventure.
